Music Stage - Valerie Von Fange

Valerie's music offers an eclectic mix of folk, bluegrass, Latin, country and Celtic styles. Valerie has been able to combine her years of classical training with a tantalizing contemporary wine-sipping sound.

Seminar Stage - The Aromas of Wine

Can you describe the fragrance of a fresh peach without saying it "smells" like something else? Wine is a poetic drink. A complex glass of wine can have over a dozen aromas and flavors waiting to be discovered. Start off your wine tasting experience learning about the aromas and nuances of wine.

 

Foxhound Parade

Come early on Sunday and watch the Snickersville Foxhound Parade. They are expected to come through the festival at 12:30 with the Steeplechase ponies for a full day of NAPPA Youth Steeplechase racing.

Are you mystified by the endless rows of different wines on store shelves and restaurant wine lists? Learn the varieties and styles of wine. Sample and learn to distinquish the different characteristics of one grape from another in this informative Wine 101 session.

Varietals for this exclusive tasting includes Virginia's best Chardonnays, Viogniers, Cabernets, Merlots and Bordeaux-style Blends.

Join Brandon Walsh, of Hosted Wine Tasting, as he puts Virginia Wines to the test in a blind tasting of some of Virginia's best wines against wines from all over the world. Wines include a VA Chardonnay vs.  a non VA Chardonnay, a VA Viognier vs.  a non VA Viognier, and a VA Cabernet Sauvignon vs.  a non VA Cab Sauv. This interactive tasting will allow you to compare then cast your vote for each wine.
