THE WILLIAMSBURG WINERY
The Williamsburg Winery is one of Virginia's largest wineries, with an annual production of some 60,000 cases. The winery was established in 1985 and the first wine produced, Governor's White, won a gold medal within two weeks. VINCENT'S VINEYARD
Vincent’s Vineyard is a 6 generation family farm located in Russell County in Southwest Virginia. This is the newest winery in Virginia Wine Country and The Wine Festival at The Plains marks their Northern Virginia public debut. Vines planted include Traminette, Cabernet Franc, Steuben, Chambourcin, Chardonel, Chardonnay and a few Concord for those jelly and juice lovers.

Take a taste in time with Mattaponi Wine. The name comes from our three rivers in Spotsylvania County, Virginia: Matta, Po, and the Ni, which has also been used in history to name the Indian tribe once ruled by Chieftain Powhatan, Pocahontas' father. We are a new family-owned winery with a passion for making wonderful wines, which includes our specialty fruit wines for over 20 years. The names of our specialty wines are written in the Algonquin
language, which is the Native American Indian language that was almost lost when the settlers arrived to America. The delightful berries of Virginia have been used for many generations, and today we bring to you our interesting selection of tasteful wines.

One could easily say that wines reflect the maker, Gabriele Rausse, the charming Italian winemaker is an original pioneer in the Virginia wine industry. Gabriele Rausse wines bear an unmistakable European stamp. The Winery is located in Charlottesville on 7 acres of vineyard. Gabriele purchases most of his fruit from the
vineyards that he has
planted for several growers. He produces all of the products at his winery with the
help of his son, Tim. The winery is open to the public by appointed only, as
Gabriele works full-time overseeing the garden grounds of
Monticello.

PHILIP CARTER WINERY
There are few places that can boast the depth of Virginia wine history that Philip Carter Winery reflects. The family carries a two hundred and fifty year legacy as maker of the first recognized fine wine in America. It was Charles Carter, who, in 1762, sent the London Society for the Encouragement of the Arts a dozen
bottles
of his Virginia wine. The society awarded Carter a gold medal as the first person to make a "spirited attempt towards the accomplishment of their views, respecting wine in America." Located in Hume, Philip Carter Winery is seated on 27 acres of rolling hills in the heart of Fauquier County’s Wine Country.

MEDITERRANEAN CELLARS
Mediterranean Cellars is located just north of Warrenton, among the rolling hills of the Virginia countryside. This family owned winery was established in 2003 and this year its owner and winemaker is celebrating 50 years of wine-making tradition. An impressive variety of high-quality wines is availble for tasting and purchase, all made with grapes grown and processed on the
property. Varietals include Chardonnay, Vidal Blanc, Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Chambourcin, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Specialty wines include Rechina, a traditional Greek dry white wine, Matina’s Rose, Calypso, Romance and Mejortage.

MOUNTAIN ROSE VINEYARD
MountainRose Winery and Vineyard is located in the heart of the specular Appalachian
Mountains. The vineyards, growing 11 varieties of grapes, are planted on top of
the Eastern Continental Divide at an elevation of 2640 feet. This cooler weather
location, soils rich in minerals, and handpicked and sorted grapes creates award winning wines that are fruity and smooth. MountainRose Winery
features 14 wines, both blends and varietals including two Best of Show Awards
for late harvest Vidal Blanc, Autumn Gold. Riesling and Cabernet Franc
both brought home Governor’s Cup awards in 2011. The 2009 Traminette won Gold
in Grand Harvest and Wines of the South and Dorchester, a Chambourcin blend, a
Best in Reds. Our mission is to create not just awards but wonderful memories
for all wine drinkers every time they sip one of our smooth, balanced wines.

MARTERELLA WINERY
Marterella winery is located in the heart of Virginia Horse & Wine Country, just North of Old Town Warrenton. This boutique winery specializes in small lot production. The views are spectacular of the vineyard and nearby Blue Ridge Foothills. The tasting room is nestled in the middle of an 8 acre vineyard which is planted in Cabernet Franc, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Petit Manseng, Vidal Blanc and Chambourcin. The Tasting Room is currently closed to the public. Please plan to stock up on Marterella wines at the festival.
